hi guys!

This might sound like a really dum question beacuse ppl are usually wanting to know the opposite..but how can you put on weight???? other then eating alot and eating junk lol..i know it sounds pretty silly but i try soooo hard to gain wieght and even went to speak to a nurse about it and she just said to add a cream and extra butter with wat i eat...nt that it made any difference when i tried...yea i probably gt a high metabolism but its supposed to slow dwn the olda you get...? i just want to put on a few pounds aarggh any suggestions?

hahah everyone wants to loose weight and here you are wanting to gain weight. :D
I have no ideaa really, I agree with your nurse..add cream and butter to everything.
I have a friend that's like you..she's really skinny and she eats alot of crap...nothing happens to her...just leave it...you'll gain weight when you grow older.

be happy that you're not over weight..Yaaaayy!

lol...yea i knw it does sound a bit funny..but its really depressing me!!! i have tried literally everythingggg i can possibly try! i can eat so much rubbish and i still dnt put on anyting the only thing dat happens is i get spotty so i leave that lol but iv wieghed 5 stones for the past 4/5 years and im 20! can you understand my desperation!!??? lol :(

i think maybe coz u've got a real fast metabolism or something
but im not sure...to gain weight, well not much can be done apart fom eating heaps of junk/carbohydrates during night, as tat slows down da digestion process,...try asking ur doctor

aneiwaz hope tat kinda helped in some way lolz

Nah on a serious note:
Eat more carbo based products like rice etc
Eat more fish based products - has protien and plenty of other good stuff
And eat protein based products
Eat veges such as broccoli / silverbeat / carrots

What you need to do is be more happier. Have proper meals for brekkie / lunch and dinner. Try eating more during lunch and moderately for dinner. Ensure you are eating fruits at intervals such as at 3.00pm or after dinner say 8pm.
Ice cream and other desserts will also help but you will gain weight on the hips rather then everywhere else... Its true - so try avoiding junk food.

So to sum it up:
Eat proper meals (3 times daily) eat more during breakkie and lunch and moderately for dinner

Eat fish type products - ie fish, prawns, lobster etc

Eat Carbo based products - rice, protein bars etc

Eat fruits and veges (snacks ie 3 pm / 8pm at night)

Also eat cheese cubes if possible (for a snack)

Drink milk based produce - Milo / milkshakes etc

Drink lots of water during the day - for skin / health and weight gain.

Be HAPPY & dont stress about things

Ensure that you eat things like cheese and other fatty foods less but have more fruits and veges... It may sound dumb but trust me you are getting the right nutrients to ensure you body retains weight

Also add some excercise to your day - ie go for walk / do dancing etc

I bet you will gain weight slowly and will fill up nicely & will ensure you have a good figure..

Wow! lucky you lol.

I agree with what Aman has said, you don't want to adopt any bad changes like eating junk, but if you try to eat more protein and carbs you will gain weight slowly.
However, you have to realise that some women are born with a higher metabolism while others is much slower.

So learn to love yourself first hun, because trust me A LOT of girls would envy that high metabolism of yours!!
I think just try and eat more carbs and protein, and if you do exercise, perhaps cut down just a little.

You will see changes slowly, which is the best way bc it's healthier.

i have the same problem!!
i've been trying to gain wait since i was really young.. but nothing seems to work!!! people say skinny people are lucky, but its rather frustrating. most people just tell me to eat donuts, cheese, potato chips, etc... but isn't there a healthier alternative??

anywho, i heard that protein shakes work well (anything with 10g of protein or more)...along with 4 big meals a day. Also, weight lifting is very important if u want to gain weight in a healthy manner! hope that helps! ill try some of the pointers as well!! haha g luck to us :)

if u r veggie ,then eat peanuts,potato dishes,cheese, butter, paneer ,ofcourse ice creams

if u eat meat,then eat chicken,fish regularly and eat one egg daily

also u need to work out daily,so u can have a healthy body

I think it also depends on ur eating habbits...
like if u hav bad eating habbits ur less likely 2 gain weight...
I know i have lol... mayb thtz y i dnt gain weight...

hmm depends though what you mean about eating habits? The only eating habits iv got is that i dont eat unless i need to like having 3 meals a day but i dnt snack...im trying to know and even thats on fruit and healthy things

I meant stuff like picking ur food...
For example, i dnt like onions or tomatoes visable in my food...
like wen my mum makes rice i only eat the rice n pick the onions out...
also quite picky bout eating vegetables... dun like most of em... like
broccoli, peas, sweet corn, spinich, mushroom...
I take it u dun have any bad eatin habbits... u must b thinking im mad... lol

Also another thing i've noticed bout myself tht i'l b starving hungry but wen i
sit down 2 eat i can only eat a small amount... like my mum makes one roti for me
n if im really hungry i can eat
bout just over half of it but i hav 2 kinda force myself 2 eat a whole 1...
dun kno if tht sumthin u can relate 2...?

But i know what you mean about when your starving hungry and u sit down to eat annd you dnt even eat that much..i get that but its coz u eat right at the last minute dnt make your self starving hungry try to eat like little bits during the day...something else iv bin told is have 4 small meals a day or more rather then 3 large meals that way your always feeding your self and ur not going to be starvinggg hungry so that u cant manage to eat much..

yea i see whut ur saying... thtz kinda wot my mum says... she goes u shud jus eat all the time... im like mum im human u know... lol.. i guess mite b worth a try... but eating 4 meals a day... sounds like hard work... :D dunno if i can manage it... lol dunno if it'l make tht much of a differnece cos if im eating more often then the amount i eat at each time will also be less than b4...

dont eat 2 much of junk food.. that wld really be terrible.. take in a lot of dry fruits n milk products.. jus enjoy ur food.. hav no worries.. enjoy ur life.. :)

eat three meals everyday and go for protein shakes,cottage cheese ,peanut butter ,you will definately put on weight avoid junk food it will just add loads of fat which is unhealthy
